About the Author :

Maya Boudali is a biomedical engineer with a Master’s degree in biomedical instrumentation. Her academic research explores the intersection of Artificial Intelligence and healthcare, with a focus on AI applications for early cancer detection. Alongside her research, she gained practical experience working in the healthcare sector—giving her a perspective that bridges scientific theory with real-world practice.

Throughout her journey, she has seen firsthand how students, engineers, and even healthcare professionals struggle to grasp the role of AI in medicine. This realization shaped her vision: to make advanced medical technologies accessible, practical, and actionable.

To bring this vision to life, she founded BioMed Devices, an educational platform that simplifies complex biomedical concepts and connects them with real-world applications. Through this work, she empowers students, engineers, and healthcare professionals with the tools and knowledge they need to innovate and thrive.

This book is a direct extension of that mission. It transforms the complexity of AI in healthcare into clear, practical insights—helping readers understand how AI is reshaping medicine and how they can actively be part of this transformation.
